It has been a long winter for me and I'm definitely ready for spring.
The big news at our house is that as soon as the weather permits we are getting new siding put on the house. I am inordinately excited about vinyl siding.
We have a very ugly house. The former owner put lavender siding on the house with yellow scalloped gables. She painted the shutters, the window frames and the front grilled security door magenta. It's awful.
We chose a nice gray siding with black shutters. We will paint the window frames a nice charcoal gray and paint the door black.
The other big news is that this little guy is living at our house now
His name is Merlin, he is 5 months old and adorable. His big brother Random likes him. The other kitties are less sure.
Knitting continues. The St Enda aran for Steve is finished and he looks very handsome in it.
Currently on the needles is the Fountain Pen lace shawl from the Spring Interweave Knits.
I'm using a varigated sock yarn instead of lace weight and it is working up very nicely. Also I'm working on the Coup D' Etat cardigan from Peace Fleece.
Jean of Jean's Knitting has commented that there is a slow down in the blogging from some of her favorites. I've noticed that also. I hope it's just the winter as I enjoy several blogs.
My own is sadly neglected and I am going to try and do better
